Land Consolidation of CASA-1000 for Pylon Installation Sharpen

The Minister of Urban Development and Land – MUDL through the Directorate of Public Projects for Coordination Affairs of the ministry has sharpen the process of consolidating the areas of CASA-1,000 for pylon installation in Panjshir, Kapisa and Nangarhar provinces.
Out of the total; 142 pylon sites are in Paryan, Khawak, Khinj districts and central Panjshir province, 38 sites are in Kohband and Hese Awal Kohistan in Kapisa province and the remaining 261 sites are in Mohmand, Goshta and Laal Por districts of eastern Nangarhar province.
In addition; 132 pylon sites have been consolidate as state-owned, 10 sites are private in Panjshir province, 24 are state-owned, 14 are private in Kapisa province and majority of the pylon sites have been consolidate as state-owned in Nangarhar province.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land as a sole source of land management, is dealing with land ownership consolidation, acquisition, pricing and assessment of the CASA-1000 project. It is worth mentioning that by the consolidation of majority areas as state-owned has paved path for the implementation of the project and lining by Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS).
Furthermore, the Ministry of Urban Development and Land is committed to accelerate land consolidation, acquisition, pricing and assessment to pave the path to quickly implement the project.
It is worth mentioning that CASA-1000 is an importing 1,300 megawatt energy project from Kazakhstan and Tajikistan through Afghanistan to Pakistan and out of the total, 1,000 megawatt energy would cross Afghanistan to Pakistan and the remaining 300 megawatt energy would be consumed by the Southern Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Zabul, Logar and Gardiz provinces.
